I’m not sure how much emotion I’m going to put into this blog entry. Today is the day that I officially launch “Waxing Darkness” on Smashwords.com. I had been working on it like crazy for the past few months; the fact that I have finally finished it is kind of crazy. Probably the most surprising thing I’ve encountered is the feedback from people. Various others are telling me that my writing is good and that the story is very inviting. To them, I would like to offer my most humble thanks.
I' am going to be promoting Waxing Darkness for the next few days or weeks, doing various things to invite other people in. With Smashwords, they have added audio books to their site, which is being promoted by Podiobooks.com. I think I may do a read through of my novel, just to add another medium. The book is already free in the first place, and I had always been interested in doing some kind of audio book. My heart always goes out to the arts.
I guess that’s one big reason why I made the book free. I don’t really care about money, and I really want to share my art right now. Maybe later on, with different stories, I’ll charge a dollar or so, but for right now, this is a story that should be shared with others. There’s nothing more that I really want to say that already hasn’t been said in the stories Afterword. If you want to know what that says, then read my novel.
